Creative Arts

Welcome to the Creative arts 2017-2018

We are happy to present the newly formed faculty of creative and performing arts which incorporates art, music and drama.
As a team of teachers we are dedicated to providing a quality and engaging learning experience. All lessons are designed to encourage creativity with constant opportunities for self-expression. With this comes a greater sense of well-being for students; developing skills in communication, resilience and raising self-esteem as well as subject skills and knowledge.
Homework is set regularly which is designed to cement skills and knowledge from lessons, and to further prepare for coursework and assessments. We offer as many outside art experiences as possible to reach out to all yea groups. Such as theatre trips, in house theatre performance, guest practitioners and art gallery visits.

We follow the skills of the actor and by learning the actors trade we can develop for life.
We explore themes of bullying, prejudice, historical, scripts, mask, physical theatre and much more throughout KS3.
