Learning Environment

Outwood Academy Redcar seeks to provide the best experience for all its stakeholders and continues to develop its facilities with that in mind. Students have their own student reception, attendance and welfare office and access to Learning manager’s which can help support them on an individual daily basis.

The Academy has invested in the last 3 years in the refurbishment of several departments, including Science, Mathematics, English, Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages. Refurbishments included new carpets, new furniture, redecoration and in some cases new IT equipment to enhance teaching and learning.

With support from government funding, in 2017 and 2016, the academy successfully completed projects to replace the roofing structures on all buildings necessary.

Additionally, we have invested in our main dining hall where students can socialise during their break times in a warm, pleasant and safe area. This included new flooring, new furniture and a whole redecoration.
