Dan Harrison

Inclusion Coordinator - After graduating with a BSc Honours degree in Sport Sciences, I worked with the Integrated Youth Support Service, supporting young people from deprived backgrounds in achieving their best possible outcomes.
Following on from this, I worked for residential child care where I supported young people who were placed in the care of the Local Authority, I supported children and young people in developing academically, socially, emotionally and physically. I then moved into the Voluntary sector and worked with a range of children from an age of 3 to 18 who had experienced domestic abuse as well as supporting young males who identified a need to change behaviours. It is within these areas that I have developed my skills and knowledge around ensuring Children and Young People are safe and that their needs are being met. I am passionate about supporting young people to become mature and happy adults who will thrive and have positive impacts on those they meet in the future. To do this we must ensure all students feel safe, secure and are at the forefront of everything we do to support and nurture these skills.
